Hebbal Lake
150 acres under the flyover. Pay 20 rupees, walk to the far bench, watch the sky go pink.
why we keep going,
Sunsets here are genuinely worth the detour off the ORR. The flyover above is louder than you'd like; the lake itself is louder with birds.
Kingfishers, cormorants, spot-billed ducks, herons. Carry water. There's a play area and a lawn but no real cafe inside.
Entry costs 20 rupees, parking another 20. Open 7am to 8pm any day; weekdays at 6pm are the quietest window.

One of three lakes commissioned by Kempe Gowda I in 1537; the Outer Ring Road and NH44 now meet directly above it.
